THEY LEFT US OFF THE MAP.

In 1880, something happened that changed the course of Breck’s history. The U.S. was expanding westward. But in the midst of documenting new geographic changes, Breck was not included. They left us off the map.

Most towns are founded. Breckenridge was overlooked, then reborn. When a local women's club discovered the town had been left off the map, no one panicked. They celebrated. They declared sovereignty, threw the first "No Man's Land" festival, and drew the Governor of Colorado to the ceremony. A town the country forgot to claim decided to claim itself. Eventually, the Kingdom of Breckenridge was born, and it has ruled itself ever since.

TODAY, THE KINGDOM IS BACK.

Today, the Kingdom is BACK. It stretches across Five Peaks of the Ten-Mile Range – all the way up to 13,000 feet and down into our one-of-a-kind mountain town. With iconic competitions, live music, and on-mountain events for every skier and rider, there’s never a dull day in the Kingdom.

IT'S A KINGDOM FOR ALL.

More importantly, the same unconventional spirit and infectious energy that founded this place lives on. We’re home to hair raisers, good-time seekers, and winter stormchasers. We live for every early morning on a powder day, every late night with a pint, and all the side quests in between. From First Chair to Last Call, Breck is where you come to be part of it all.

It's here. The place where we write our own rules and tell our own story. Because this is our Kingdom. This is your Kingdom. And it's a Kingdom for all.
