Breck: Your Ski-In, Ski-Out Mountain Town

Breckenridge, affectionately known as ‘Breck’ to locals and visitors alike, offers a serious dose of High Alpine adventure, natural beauty and ski town charm. With an abundance of slopeside lodging accommodations, ski-to-town trails and the BreckConnect Gondola, the connection between mountain and town is seamless. It’s like the entire town of Breck is practically ski-in, ski-out. Where else in the world can you ski from the top of North America’s highest chairlift and directly into town for après!? The answer: Nowhere!

 

Ski To Town

At the end of the ski day, skip the bus or waiting to download the BreckConnect Gondola, and instead ski directly into town, towards your lodging property or your car when you’re done skiing and riding. Here are the main routes:

 

O’Clock >>> Lower 4 O’Clock >>> Lowest 4 O’Clock

  • Best For: The quickest way to get to Main Street and the center of townSki from the highest chairlift in North America – Imperial Express, and take the longest run down the mountain at 3.5 miles from top to bottom.

 

O’Clock >>> Lower 4 O’Clock >>> Gondola Ski Back

  • Best For:Ski and ride access to Mountain Thunder Lodge, plus the South Gondola, North Gondola and Gold Rush parking areas. Plus, easy access to Breckenridge Station for in-town and in-county transportation options.

 

Peak 9 Base Area >>> Multiple Trails like Silverthorne and Lower Sawmill can get you there

  • Best For:Startyour day and end your day right in town. Ski to the base of Peak 9 for quick access to Gravity Haus and the Village at Breck, the southside of Main Street, the F Lot parking area and the Ice Rink parking area. Bonus! At Peak 9 you can start your day with a waffle at the Waffle Shop and end your day with après at The Maggie.

 

Slopeside Lodging by Peak

Breck offers a variety of slopeside lodging accommodations that are ski-in, ski-out, in addition to a whole bunch of accommodations that are within just a short walking distance to a lift or gondola. Check out which base area you’re closest to during your visit, and consider starting and ending your day there for the easiest mountain access and more time on snow!
