Breckenridge Terrain Status

5 Peaks of Breckenridge mountain pano
Breckenridge boasts 2,908 acres of Colorado’s finest terrain, including four terrain parks, two half-pipes and 187 trails spread across five huge peaks. We groom 29% of our total terrain daily and have snowmaking on 600 acres!

*Please note the “lifts” box below may include surface or carpet lifts as part of the total. Refer to the full grid at the bottom of this page for full details on which lifts and runs are open!

Lift operation and terrain closures are dependent on weather conditions and snow safety; therefore subject to change at any time.

TERRAIN CLASSIFICATION

  • Easiest 11%:

The easiest pistes at a mountain. Green Circle trails are generally wide and groomed

  • More Difficult 31%:

Intermediate difficulty slopes that are usually groomed

  • Most Difficult 24%:

Amongst the most difficult at a given mountain. Black Diamond trails tend to be steep and may or may not be groomed

  • Expert 34%:

These trails are for experts only due to exceptionally steep slopes and other hazards such as narrow trails, exposure to wind, and the presence of obstacles such as steep drop-offs or trees.
