breckenridge Lift Ticket FAQ's

The Turn In Your Ticket program allows guests who bought a lift ticket during the 2019/20 ski season at any North American Owned & Operated resort to apply the amount they paid for a single day’s ticket, up to $150, as a credit towards the cost of a 2020/21 Season Pass. Breckenridge lift tickets only provide access to Breckenridge. If you wish to ski other Vail Resorts owned properties you may exchange your Breckenridge lift tickets for tickets to other resorts, subject to certain restrictions.
The Town of Breckenridge created the tax to pay for more than $50 million of new, immediate parking and transit improvements, the most significant being a new 700-900 skier parking structure in the core of town.  This was based on extensive studies and research completed by the Town before proposing the tax.
Unfortunately, right after the election last November, the Town Council backed away from those plans and has begun a whole new round of studies with the possibility that skiers will not see new skier parking for years.  We requested that the Town defer this tax until it has a clear plan to provide significant improvements to skiers and riders. That request was rejected.  If you would like to contact the Town about the tax please contact the Town’s public information office at  or 970 453 2251.
If you want to ski at Keystone you may exchange your Breckenridge lift ticket for a Keystone lift ticket. If you want to ski at Vail or Beaver Creek, you can exchange up to half the days of your 3 or more day Breckenridge ticket for an equivalent Vail or Beaver Creek lift ticket. Only valid and unused Breckenridge lift tickets are eligible for exchange.
An exchange can be conveniently processed by the ticket scanner in the lift line at Keystone, Vail or Beaver Creek or at their respective ticket windows.
Yes.  If you exchange your Breckenridge lift ticket for another ticket, you can get a refund of the Town of Breckenridge tax.  This tax refund will be processed to your credit card or at the lift ticket window if you paid with cash.
If you exchange your Breckenridge lift ticket for a Keystone lift ticket you will receive a refund of the Breckenridge lift ticket tax and an additional $5 on adult tickets and $3 on child tickets. If you exchange your Breckenridge lift ticket for a lift ticket to Vail or Beaver Creek your refund of the Breckenridge lift ticket tax will be reduced by $5 for adult tickets and $3 for child tickets.
If you would like to participate in night skiing at Keystone and you have already skied at Breckenridge that day, you may use your Breckenridge ticket as a coupon to purchase a night skiing ticket for Keystone for $10.
