About Breckenridge

With 5 peaks, a real mountain town and the highest chairlift in North America, your spirit will be as elevated as the views. It's funny how even at 12,998 feet you'll feel completely down to earth.

Breck feels different. Like home. It has everything from the town to the mountain and then some. Here, you come as a visitor, but leave as a local.

TOP 3 WINTER THINGS TO DO IN BRECK

1. Ski and snowboard
First Timers: Rent some gear, sign up for a lesson and try a day on the slopes (check out our First Timer's Guide)
Beginners: Head to Peak 9 for the best beginner (green circle) runs.
Intermediates: Fall in love with the wide-open groomers on Peak 7.
Experts: Tackle Imperial Bowl and try the hike on Peak 6 for some steeper terrain.

2. Stroll down Main Street
Grab a cup of coffee, go window shopping or check out our 200-plus stores, shops and eateries that line Breck's seven-block historic Main Street. Bring your camera—it's one of the largest historic districts in the state.

3. Get artistic
Check out Breck Create's schedule of cultural events or take a pottery, painting or craft class in a renovated historic cabin or barn that's been transformed into the Breckenridge Arts District, right in the middle of town.
