My child has an allergy, what precautions will you take to ensure he is cared for correctly?
If your child is allergic to a particular kind of medication, you should list that on his emergency release form at check-in.
If your child has a food allergy, you should make the front desk staff aware of the allergy and what special precautions we should take. We list the allergy and reaction on your child’s in-room information tag. Red tape is used on your child’s belongings and clothing to alert the staff to his/her allergy needs. Where possible the allergen is kept out of the room. If your child has multiple allergies, we suggest bringing your own food and/or drinks.
If your child has an epi-pen you should bring that with you and leave it with the staff.
