The Breckenridge Music Festival is pleased to present Toad the Wet Sprocket for the 2013 BLUE RIVER SERIES, sponsored by Centennial Bank. The show takes place at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge on Sunday, August 11 at 7:30PM.

With hit songs like “Walk on the Ocean,” “All I Want,” “Something’s Always Wrong,” and “Fall Down,” it’s no surprise that Toad the Wet Sprocket was one of the most successful alternative rock bands of the early 1990s. Their mellow, melodic folk-pop sound was featured in movies and television shows like Friends, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and So I Married an Axe Murderer.

After breaking up in 1998, Toad has gotten together sporadically to play shows on a casual basis, but their hard-core fans have never given up hope for a new album. After successful tours in 2006-2010, the band finally decided to put the last piece of the puzzle in place, and committed to working together on new music. They also decided to update their classic catalog, and created a new Greatest Hits album, “All You Want,” which came out in 2011. Toad the Wet Sprocket recently released the first single off their new album, "New Constellation," and they are excited to share it with the world. As quoted in Rolling Stone, front man Glenn Phillips said:

'New Constellation' was the very first new song written specifically for the band...After a decade in the folk/singer-songwriter world, it was exciting to write with the band in mind. I wanted to come up with material that would respect our origins but also respect everything we'd learned in the intervening years. The lyric veers from outer space to patron saints to depression to heroic gestures of love in a quick, three-minute pop song."

Toad the Wet Sprocket is currently in the studio with producer Mikal Blue, and fans can look forward to a new release and extensive tour in 2013-14.
