Breckenridge Ski Resort and Vail Resorts Echo invites the public to the annual Mountain Cleanup and Local Appreciation Day on Thursday, June 13 at the Peak 8 Base area.

Cleanup volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. at the One Ski Hill Place, A RockResort patio to pick up trash bags, directions to specific cleanup sites, and sign waivers. Parking is available in the North Gondola Lot and buses will run to the base of Peak 8 from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Volunteers should bring water, sun block, sunglasses, hat, snacks, gloves, sturdy hiking boots, and layers to prepare for the unpredictable Colorado weather.

Volunteers will be treated to a complimentary barbeque from 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. at the T-Bar, and will also be able to choose between a ride on the Alpine SuperSlide, the Gold Runner Coaster, the SuperBungee Trampoline, the Mineshaft Maze, Rockpile Climbing Wall or Gemstone Panning with the use of a coupon; valid until Sept. 2, 2013.

The Vail Resorts Echo program aims to protect the natural resources surrounding Breck and helps build a stronger community where our employees live and work. Check out the Echo Program to learn more about environmental stewardship, charitable giving and employee volunteerism efforts.

All Breck Summer Fun Park activities are weather dependant and open in full to the public on June 15, 2013. Get the latest updates and stay connected all summer long with Breckenridge on Facebook and Breck on Twitter or by calling (970) 453-5000.
