Come celebrate with us on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will play a free concert at the Riverwalk Center at 2:00pm.

The iconic and profoundly influential Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, often cited as a catalyst for an entire movement in Country Rock and American Roots Music, continues to add to their legendary status with multi-platinum and gold records, strings of top ten hits such as "Fishin' In The Dark" and "Mr. Bojangles," multiple Grammy, IBMA, CMA Awards and nominations, the band's accolades continue to accumulate.

Other 4th of July events in Breckenridge include:  

  • The Arts District Grand Celebration
  • The Independence Day 10k Trail Run
  • The Fourth of July Garden Party
  • Rower and Wild Horse Aviation Airshows 
  • Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race
  • Kids' Water Fight from 12:30 - 2:30 pm at the Blue River Plaza
  • A Viper "Show and Shine" from 12:30 - 3:00 pm on Main Street
  • Main Street Parade 10:00am
  • National Repertory Orchestra "Patriotic Celebration" Concert at 8:30pm
