2014 Countywide Clean Up Day - May 17, 2014 - Rain, Snow or Shine

It's that time of year again when lost gloves and soggy candy wrappers appear.  Please join us for Town Clean Up Day, uncover some hidden "treasures" and clean up Breckenridge after a long winter season. Breckenridge Town Clean Up Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Riverwalk Center lawn, 150 Adams Avenue.

Volunteer check in is at 9:00 a.m at the Riverwalk Center lawn and this is where volunteers receive bags, gloves and some ideas regarding areas that could use our attention. After check in fill up on fresh coffee and treats before heading out to beautify the community. Volunteers then meet back at the Riverwalk Center for a Zero Waste picnic at 12:00 p.m. including a BBQ lunch, live entertainment and great giveaways.    The Breckenridge Restaurant Association, Fatty's Pizzeria, Relish, Twist, Sevens, Salt Creek Steakhouse, La Francaise Bakery, Modis, Hearthstone Restaurant, Mi Casa and Empire Burger have generously donated food and beverage for the BBQ along with the Breckenridge Brewery which is supplying 2 kegs of beer!

In appreciation of Clean Up Day volunteers, we will also be giving away a free kid's bike from the Breck Epic bike race, passes to the Breckenridge Fun Park from Breckeridge Ski Resort, passes to the Breckenridge Recreation Center, a $100 gift certificate to Grand Victorian Day Spa at Grand Timber Lodge, 2 rounds of golf at the Breckenridge Golf Club, a gift certificate from Hearthstone Restaurant and Mi Casa , a gift certificate to Peak-a-Boo Toys and 4 tickets to a Broncos pre-season game from Betty and Mike Danis.  We will once again be awarding a prize for the wierdest treasure- please nothing dead

Breckenridge will not accept general household trash on Clean Up Day. Contact the Summit County Resource Allocation Park at (970) 468-9263 for disposal hours and fees. The landfill is open year-round and will accept many hazardous and recyclable materials as well as general household trash.
