Visit the home of Barney L. Ford: escaped slave, prominent entrepreneur and black civil rights leader. Learn about Aunt Clara Brown, considered one of Colorado’s great pioneers, while this temporary exhibit is on display. (Available for private parties.)

In 1880, Ford became the first black businessman in Breckenridge when he opened Ford’s Restaurant and Chop House.
