Choose from 11 blue and black mountain-bike specific trails on the resort or head out on the hiking trails or mountain roads. A few of the trails include:

Blue trails:

Renting bikes from Breck Sports is a breeze with locations on the hill and in town, a professional staff, and a ton of great bikes to choose from. Rent a full suspension bike, a comfort cruiser, a junior bike, or a trailer and you'll get a helmet rental included.

Bike rental reservations can be made up to two days prior to arrival. Bring a photo ID to either Breck Sports rental location and sign a liability waiver. To obtain a full refund, reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to arrival.

Comfort Cruisers

Choose between a Specialized Expedition or Trek Navigator. All bikes feature a comfortable, upright position, a wide saddle, and tires designed specifically for efficiency on pavement and traction on gravel. Both 8 speed and 24 speed versions are offered. An ideal bike for cruising bike paths and pulling a trailer.

New this summer, Breck is offering beginner and intermediate/advanced mountain bike lessons. Take a lesson on terrain and tactics, safety, the local history, high altitude and weather anomalies, and what it takes to protect the high alpine environment. You can even book a guide without a lesson, in case you're up to the challenge!

Beginner Mountain Bike Lessons

Daily at 10:00am and 1:30pm. Ages 6+

2.5 Hour Intro to Mountain Biking

 Prepare for a true mountain adventure! Beginner lessons are designed to introduce new riders to the sport or offer further confidence and guidance for new riders still developing their skills. This class will get you ready for our Intermediate lesson or for riding on your own. Our guides will utilize our skills track to demonstrate the techniques needed to navigate our mountain trails. Take the lesson as a family to understand your ability levels and get to know our trails with the safety of an experienced guide. This lesson will open up the possibility of many adventures in our spectacular mountain environment!

Intermediate/Advanced Mountain Bike Guide

Daily 10:00am and 1:30pm Ages 6+

2.5 Hour Intermediate Mountain Biking

Get ready to explore our mountain with one of our experienced guides and take your riding to the next level. Our guides will use our skills course and natural features so you will feel comfortable on our mountain. Your guide will lead you through our mountain trails where you will enjoy magnificent views while developing the skills needed to take on our toughest terrain. This experience is also ideal for the family looking to head up the mountain and would like an guide to enhance their experience by providing expert trail, terrain and skills knowledge.  

Let us guide you on an exhilirating tour you will never forget. From now through Labor Day, Breck Sports offers multiple bike tours daily on Vail Pass. Our CPR and First Aid certified guides will professionally escort you in vans to the top of Vail Pass at 10,600 feet and then descend down the East Vail pass well-maintained bike path. The uniformed guides provide you with memorable information on the scenery, history, and insight only a local knows.

All bike tours include bike rental, transportation, helmet, area map, water bottle, and guide. Only looking for a way up? Transportation for you and your bike only are also available.
