Announcing the Breck Epic Pro Team!

The Breck Epic Pro Team is an elite cadre of 26 ski and snowboard athletes who call Breck home and represent the team and resort with podium placements at competitions worldwide. Recognized as the top resort team in the ski industry today, the Breck Epic Pro Team is comprised of some of the most exciting young talent in action sports. This year’s team features returning athletes such as two-time X Games Gold medalist Bobby Brown, top AFP overall world raking athletes Anna Segal and Keri Herman, former Olympic bronze medalist JJ Thomas, and Summit county native Eric Willett.

New to the team this year is UK freeski big air and slopestyle star James Woods.

“Being on the Breck Epic Pro Team means I have my home mountain as my backbone of support through my career,” said Breck Epic Pro Team rider Eric Willett.

“Breck is the mountain where I train, learn new tricks, and compete in competitions. Athletes from all over the world come to Breck to train every year; it’s definitely a privilege to have the best park in the world in my back yard. I was born and raised, started my career, married my wife – all here at Breck. Needless to say, I could not be more honored to be a part of the Breck Epic Pro Team.”

Bobby Brown

Breck Pro Team Member Bobby Brown  This humble 22-year-old is definitely not lacking in determination and enthusiasm. A four time X Games gold medalist, Dew Cup Champion, teenage heart throb, and now an Olympic hopeful is always a treat to watch in Breck’s Freeway and Park Lane. From landing the first switch double 1260 and 1440’s to triple corks, Bobby’s bag of tricks have earned him the reputation of being one of the most progressive and stylish freeskiers on the planet.  Competing for six years, and releasing mind blowing edits with Poor Boyz and MSP all while calling Breckenridge Ski Resort his home mountain, certainly makes us proud to call Bobby a Breck Epic Pro Team rider. Don’t believe us; just check out the “Breck loves Bobby” signs in our guest’s hands at Dew Tour Mountain Championships.

Keri Herman

Breck Pro Team Member Keri Herman
A regular on the podium, Keri is known as one of the strongest female contenders in Slopestyle. In 2010, she stood atop the three biggest podiums: Winter X Games (silver), Winter X Games Europe (silver) and the Winter Dew Tour in Breck (silver). Overall her stats landed her 2nd in the AFP year end rankings.

Pat Goodnough

Breck Pro Team Member Pat Goodnough
Is Pat good enough to ride for Breck? You betcha! All puns aside Goodnough has an impressive resume to add to the team. He took first in the Spring Fever Rail Jam and was a finalist in the Rails to Riches.

Banks Gilberti

Breck Pro Team Member Banks Gilberti
New last season to the Breck team, Banks is a rising star in the Freeskiing scene. Banks has claimed eighth overall in the Dew Tour Pipe in 2010 and landed himself seventh at Dew Tour Pipe in Killington in 2011 and 20th overall. You can find Banks training in Freeway all season long, just follow his blonde wavy locks.

Mark Nowakiwsky

Mark Nowakiwsky
A Breckenridge native, Mark rides here because "it is the best overall ski area I have ever been to." He's filmed with Picante Productions and placed third at the USASA Nationals. he looks up to Bobby Brown and Chris Hawks and his favorite trick is the Cork 720. Mark says he'll "do anything to be able to keep skiing."

He cites his influencers as Adam Delorme, his parents, his friends, and his dog and he looks up to Bobby Brown. His favorite trick is the Rodeo 540 and he is currently attending college.

James Woodsy Woods

Breck Pro Team Member James New to the Breck Epic Pro Team, this international game changer had an unstoppable year and is charging straight toward the Olympics. Woods is a five times British Freestyle Champion, a proud athlete on the British Olympic team, a bronze Winter X Games Euro and Aspen medalist, and holds a 3rd place ranking in AFP Tour Rankings. In 2013, Woods made history by being crowned the World Cup Champion in men’s freeskiing slopestyle, which certainly is a long way away from learning how to ski on an indoor slope in the UK.

Anna Segal

Breck Pro Team Member Anna Segal  Anna Segal from Melbourne, Australia calls Breckenridge home in winter to train. Competing since 2008, Anna has ranked up a hefty podium list including becoming the first freeskier from Australia to medal at Winter X Games. She was also the first women’s ski slopestyle gold medalist at the Winter X Games’ inaugural year. When Anna isn’t claiming podium spots she spends a lot of time updating her blog and filming with her sponsors. Unfortunately in 2012 and 2013 Segal encountered injuries cutting her seasons short. As Anna makes a comeback from her injuries she will definitely be a top contender to watch leading up to Sochi.

Emilia Wint

Adam Delorme

For those of you who know Adam, know why it’s no surprise he is a member of the Breck Epic Pro Team. If you don’t, check out his latest edit, “A Walk in the Park: Part II.” He is a hard athlete to track down in person and in cyber space which truly make his edits hidden gems when you do see them. With incredible style and making every trick look effortless, Adam is definitely a skier you do not want to miss.

Requesting a Breck Epic Team Home Mountain Athlete community appearance
If you are interested in having a member of the Breck Epic Team Home Mountain Athletes participate in your event, please complete the Athlete Appearance Request Form. Although the team members are eager to interact with various organizations and fans in the community, their availability due to training, travel and competitions is limited. Email requests and telephone calls will not be accepted.

  • Requests must be received four (4) weeks prior to the event date.
  • All requests must be submitted via the Athlete Appearance Request Form.
  • Completed request forms must be mailed or faxed to the following:
  • Breckenridge Ski Resort
    Attn: Athlete Appearances
    PO BOX 1058 (BK5)
    Breckenridge, CO 80424

    Fax: (970) 453-3217

When considering appearance requests, we adhere to the following criteria:

    • Clear role for the athlete in the event (reading to a class, hand out awards, etc.)
    • No activities with risk of injury.
    • Description of event (not including athlete appearance). We recommend that your event NOT center around the athlete's attendance, but rather have them serve as a complement to the overall event.
    • Number of and approximate age of attendees.

    Next Steps

Once your request has been reviewed, you will be contacted by a Public Relations representative and learn the status of your request: declined, pending, or accepted. Due to the volume of requests, please allow 2-3 weeks for a response. Please do not contact the Public Relations department to check on the status of a request.

If your request has been accepted, it has been done so in accordance to the information provided in the Athlete Appearance Request Form. If changes are made after this time, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate the changes.

In order to accommodate as many groups as possible, as a general rule, the athlete’s do not make return visits to organizations within a calendar year. Also, an approved appearance does not ensure annual participation by the Breck Epic Team Home Mountain Athletes. If for any reason we need to cancel an appearance, we will notify your organization as soon as we are aware of an unavoidable conflict.

    Guidelines for a successful appearance

Appearances are a very important part of our organization and we take them seriously. Please review the following list of guidelines to insure that the appearance goes well for everyone:

    • Athletes can perform a variety of tasks at an event. They may give speeches, demonstrate skills, sign autographs, pose for pictures, or read to children. Please be specific on your Athlete Appearance Request Form.
    • Due to the athletes' busy schedules, we cannot guarantee specific athletes.
    • The Breck Epic Team Home Mountain Athletes reserve the right to reschedule or cancel an appearance due to an unexpected conflict.
    • All supplies/equipment necessary for the appearance must be ready when the athletes arrive (for example, chairs and tables should already be set up when athletes arrive).
    • There needs to be a contact person working at the event who must stay with the athletes at all times.
